Plan a useful business website
Move from business goals to clear pages, usable navigation, accessibility and maintenance.
A website plan need not begin with a long list of pages. Start with what visitors need to understand or do. That keeps the navigation from becoming an archive of internal departments.
Ask who visits, what they need to know, which next step is realistic, what changes often and who will maintain it. Use the answers to group pages. Keep the main route short, use descriptive links and headings, and review the complete journey on a phone.
Publish business details, prices, testimonials and results only when confirmed. If a contact form has no working delivery route, a clear note is better than a broken button. Include software updates, backups and ownership in the plan.
After launch, use customer questions and usage signals to prioritise improvements. Change one route at a time so you can see what helped.
A good website is not a one-off promise; it is a usable foundation someone in the organisation can continue to manage.
